South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has announced that its garden waste service will return to its normal fortnightly collections from 1st November, and so, from that day onwards, customers can put their brown garden waste bins out on their normal collection day in their recycling week every fortnight.
Also, this first week back to fortnightly collections coincides with the scheduled Extra Garden Waste Week so garden waste customers are entitled to put out one extra bin’s worth of garden waste that week too. Continue reading
Residents with dogs are reminded to please pick up after their pets. The Parish Council has had complaints about dog mess in a number of locations around the village.

The Village Primary school has welcomed fifteen children from Afghanistan who fled the country when the Taliban took control. The acting head teacher, Gillian Seymour, said that while it had been a “whirlwind time for the school” the refugees had received a warm reception.
