Residents are advised that there will be a number of changes to parking arrangements across South Oxfordshire from next month.

Pump Track – Volunteers Needed

New Administration at County Council

A new administration has been formed at Oxfordshire County Council following the elections on 6th May.

The final shape of the council is: Conservative 22 seats; Liberal Democrats 21; Labour 15; Greens 3; Henley Residents Group 1; independent 1.

Extra Garden Waste Collection

Residents who are signed up for brown bin collections can put out twice as much garden waste on Thursday 20th May.

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) is giving those who are part of the paid-for service the opportunity to put out the equivalent of one extra bin’s worth of garden waste (around three large bin bags).

20mph Zone Update

The 20mph Zone Working Group met last week to discuss draft proposals put forward by Colin Davis, the county council’s consultant, for the implementation of the Zone in the village.

It is hoped that these proposals can be published soon so that residents can review them and have their say.

Neptune Wood Meadow Closure 17th May

Parish Council Chairman Re-elected

The chairman of the Parish Council, Gordon Rogers, has been re-elected.  At last week’s annual Parish Council meeting Cllr Rogers was returned unopposed.  But he told the meeting that next year he will have completed five years in the role and will not stand again.

He said that he enjoys leading the council with the help of councillors and support of officers but next year a new person would be needed to lead the community through what he called “challenging times”. Continue reading
