Motorists are warned that traffic restrictions are in place on Abingdon Bridge in Abingdon after concerns were discovered during a routine inspection.
Stonework to the eastern side of the northern arch of the bridge, which carries the A415 over the River Thames, has become displaced, reducing the bridge’s strength in this area. Continue reading

Residents who are signed up for brown bin collections can put out twice as much garden waste on Thursday 20th May.

The 20mph Zone Working Group met last week to discuss draft proposals put forward by Colin Davis, the county council’s consultant, for the implementation of the Zone in the village.
It is hoped that these proposals can be published soon so that residents can review them and have their say.
