Clifton Hampden Bridge Closures Update

Residents will be aware that two separate closures of the Clifton Hampden Bridge are scheduled to start on 20th February and continue through March as originally detailed here.

Garden Waste Collections To Resume

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has announced that garden waste collections will resume from 22nd February.

If you still have a Christmas tree, it will taken on the next garden waste collection day (25th February).  If possible, cut it up and put it inside the brown bin.  If you do not have space or cannot manage to do this, it can be put to the side of the brown bin. Continue reading

Taxi Licensing Policy Consultation

Members of the public and those involved in the taxi trade are being asked to comment on some potential changes to the joint taxi licensing policy for South Oxfordshire.

Clifton Hampden Road Open

Residents will be pleased to hear that the road to Clifton Hampden is open.  The ‘road closed’ sign and bollards have been set to the side of the road.

Councils Target Inconsiderate Dog Walkers

South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse district councils have put together ‘dog fouling maps’ of local towns and villages showing the areas with the highest number of complaints about owners not picking up after their animals.

Residents across Oxfordshire have benefited from the county’s home library service during the pandemic with 8,364 library books being delivered from April to December 2020.
