Easter Egg Hunt

Despite the difficult situation, there is a plan to hold an Easter Egg Hunt for the children in the village from Good Friday 10th April through to Easter Monday 13th April (and beyond, if you feel like it).

With over a week to go, parents have time to be a bit creative and get the children to draw, decorate or make some eggs which could be stuck in your window, or perhaps your front garden if the weather is nice.  Go on!  Be creative! Continue reading

Scoop That Poop

Residents with dogs are reminded to please pick up after their pets. The Parish Council has had some complaints about dog mess on a number of footpaths around the village.

Now that we are all out walking in the village more often to get some exercise during the Coronavirus lock down, it would be nice not to have to look where we are going.

Your co-operation is appreciated.

Waste Services Virus Update

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) reports that most waste collections are currently running as normal.  The waste team’s well-tested service disruption plan is now in place.

The waste contractor, Biffa, has suffered some staff shortages due to illness and self-isolation but is managing this by redeploying staff and using agency drivers.

However, with new crew members unfamiliar with the routes and in some cases fewer Continue reading
