Wittenham WI has published its programme of events for the year ahead (see link below). It is keen to welcome new members, particularly younger women.
Acklings playground has been granted Asset of Community Value (ACV) status by South Oxfordshire District Council. The Parish Council nominated the playground which has been used by residents for many years.
St Mary’s church resounded to the strains of Gilbert and Sullivan last Saturday evening as Opera Anywhere performed one of the most popular works in the canon of English comic opera, The Pirates of Penzance or The Slave of Duty. The audience of over one hundred was enthusiastic in its appreciation of the show.
