More than thirty people attended the meeting in the village hall last evening to hear a progress report on the Community Hub from Chris Brotherton, director of Thomas Homes, the parish council’s chosen developer.

Clifton Hampden Quarry Update

Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) has yet again postponed the meeting to consider the Hills Quarry Product planning application.  It will now not be on 15th April as previously suggested.  The next possible date is Monday 3rd June at 2pm, but it is possible that the date will slip again.

Parish & District Council Elections

Only our six current parish councillors were nominated to stand in the elections on Thursday 2nd May, and as this falls short of the seven councillors allowed for the village, they will be automatically re-elected, uncontested.

Parish Council Meeting – Thursday 11th April

Kler Appeal Comments Deadline

A reminder that the deadline for comments on Kler Group’s appeal on its planning application to realign the Didcot Road to facilitate the entrance to their housing development on the corner of Didcot Road and Fieldside is Wednesday 10th April.  If you have not already submitted your comments, please do so without delay.

Village Meeting – Your Help Needed

There will be a village meeting in the Village Hall on Thursday 11th April starting at 7:30pm when Chris Brotherton of Thomas Homes will present the latest plans and designs for the Community Hub.

This is a chance for residents to comment on the plans as they currently stand.  Thomas Homes hopes to submit a planning application soon, so your input at this stage is important to ensure that the Hub meets everyone’s needs and aspirations.

SODC Local Plan Update

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) submitted its Local Plan 2034 to the Secretary of State on Friday 29th March 2019 for Independent Examination.

The Secretary of State will now appoint a Planning Inspector to carry out the Independent Examination.  Once appointed the Planning Inspector will examine the Plan, the evidence supporting it and the comments received, Continue reading
