Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) has yet again postponed the meeting to consider the Hills Quarry Product planning application. It will now not be on 15th April as previously suggested. The next possible date is Monday 3rd June at 2pm, but it is possible that the date will slip again.

Only our six current parish councillors were nominated to stand in the elections on Thursday 2nd May, and as this falls short of the seven councillors allowed for the village, they will be automatically re-elected, uncontested.

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) submitted its Local Plan 2034 to the Secretary of State on Friday 29th March 2019 for Independent Examination.

Our Associate Vicar David Haylett has informed us that it has been reported that both Garsington and Cuddesdon churches have been visited by thieves who have removed the lead roofs. In the case of Garsington, apparently heavy lifting gear was moved into the churchyard.
