The Parish Council is seeking to have Ackling’s Playground at the western end of the village registered as an Asset of Community Value (ACV). Former Long Wittenham Parish Councillor Andy Humphreys has died at the age of 57. Mr Humphreys was born in the village and spent a large part of his life in the community. He moved to Didcot last year to care for his 91-year-old mother Margaret.

The opening of the new toilet extension at St Mary’s Church, which was postponed owing to the snow at the beginning of February, will now take place on Friday 8th March at 2.30pm.
