A reminder that polling will take place next Thursday 1st May to elect sixty-nine councillors to Oxfordshire County Council.

For this election, Long Wittenham is in a new division – Cholsey & The Hagbournes.

The Friends of St Mary’s are holding a Brush Party on Friday 9th May starting at 7pm in the Village Hall.

Enjoy a few hours of fun, friends and creativity, producing a beautiful painting in acrylics under the guidance of a professional artist.

Upgrade of Acklings Playground

The Parish Council has been planning for a couple of years to upgrade facilities at Acklings.

Applications for grants from South Oxfordshire District Council and the charity FCC Communities Foundation have been successful and the project can now proceed.  These grants will cover the total cost of the project. Continue reading
