As in previous years, South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has arranged for Christmas trees to be collected from the grass verge next to the entrance to Bodkin’s Recreation Ground.
Leave trees there by Friday 9th January – they will be collected on Saturday 10th January.

Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) is introducing a new booking system at its Household Waste Recycling Centres to make visits quicker and easier.
From Wednesday 14th January 2026 everyone will need to book a time slot to visit one of the sites. People can book 30 minutes before their visit (subject to availability) or up to two weeks in advance. Continue reading
The Parish Council has had a new swing set installed at Bodkins Playground. The previous set, which was over twenty years old, was removed in August following a RoSPA safety report which advised that it was unsafe.
