Residents are reminded that the Government will be testing its new Emergency Alerts system at 3pm today (Sunday 23rd April).
The Emergency Alerts system will allow the Government to get urgent messages quickly to nearly 90% of mobile phones in a defined area. Richard Couzens, the Bursar of Headington School, attended last Thursday’s Parish Council meeting to update the council on the progress of the boathouse being built on The Maddy.
Despite some problems, he is hopeful that the project will be completed by September.

Residents in Oxfordshire are being asked for their views on oral health and dental services in a new survey looking at health needs in the county.

A pop-up café will be open at Pendon Museum on Wednesday 19th April from 9:30am to 12noon.
It is hoped that this will be a monthly event and if this first session is a success, the second will be on Wednesday 17th May at the same time.

Residents who are signed up for brown bin collections can put out twice as much garden waste on Friday 21st April.
South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) is giving those who are part of the paid-for service the opportunity to put out the equivalent of one extra bin’s worth of garden waste (around three large bin bags).
