The village poppy sellers will be out and about knocking on doors selling their poppies and other Poppy Appeal items from the last week of October. See the flyer below.
Make sure you have some change ready because the collectors can’t take card payment, or you can pay by cheque (payable to “The Poppy Appeal” – please write the first line of your address on the back). You can donate with ‘gift aid’ – please ask your poppy seller for an envelope. There are also collection boxes at The Plough Inn, The Vine & Spice and the Athletics Club.
If you or your organisation would like to lay a wreath during the Armistice Day act of remembrance in the village, there are a limited number of small wreaths available at a minimum donation price of £18. The short service will take place at the war memorial next to the school at 10:55am on Friday 11th November. Please text or call Prew Bowtell on 07951 009561 if you would like to buy a wreath. It is not essential that you join the act of remembrance if it is inconvenient for you to do so.
