The Parish Council has been advised that the B4016 Ladygrove – known locally as the Straight Mile – has been closed because of a gas leak.

We have not yet had official notification of this closure from OCC, but it does now appear on One.Network:

Only closed from the Appleford Road junction to the junction for the new houses. Impassable for cars but if you are on bike/foot the workmen kindly let me through- or you can use the parallel NCR5 cycle path.
Maybe OCC will take the opportunity to resurface the subsiding section nearest Didcot at the same time so the traffic lights can be removed.
The road is still closed today. Is there any update on when it might reopen?
We haven’t had any official word from OCC but One.Network is showing it as continuing until 27th October.
