Something like 900 years ago Long Wittenham’s Saxon Church was demolished and work begun on a new church building in the Norman style.
Since then that building, altered, repaired and modernised over the centuries has been the place where people have gathered on Sundays for worship and have come to be married, baptised and buried.
This Sunday, 10th June, is traditionally kept as Feast Sunday commemorating the consecration of the Norman Church.
Come along to Parish Communion at 9.30am to give thanks for, and to celebrate our village Church.
