The Parish Council has been advised by Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) Highways Department that the road between Long Wittenham and Little Wittenham will be closed for four days in September to allow for the installation of new water connections. Work is due to start on Tuesday 3rd September and should be completed by 6th September.
There will be limited access for emergency services and for homes within the closed section of the road. The suggested alternative route is High Street and Didcot Road, Long Wittenham, Sires Hill, along a stretch of un-named road and into Little Wittenham, and vice versa as shown on this map.
