Following the public consultation on the Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) at the beginning of the year, the responses were sent to the Independent Examiner for his opinion in March.
The Parish Council received his report on 10th May. The report contains some changes to be made to the published plan but these are more technical than substantive. None of the changes will affect the building of the Community Hub or any of the other policies in the plan.
The examiner is full of praise for the council’s vision in developing a plan that is so wide ranging and which enhances the facilities in our community. He comments to South Oxfordshire District Council that this is exactly what Neighbourhood Plans are meant to achieve.
The examiner’s report can be downloaded here. This will be followed by the final version of the NDP once the changes have been made. The next and final step is to hold a referendum and it is hoped that this will take place in July.
I hope it all gets cancelled.
Well done all those involved – especially Peter!
So much work and an excellent plan our thanks should go to the hard work of Peter and others involved who have sort to improve our village
