Royal Mail has asked the Parish Council to advise residents that, with immediate effect, 24hr and 48hr tracked parcels will no longer be left unattended at our doors unless the recipient requests that their parcel be left in a safe place.
If you have ordered something that will be 24/48hr tracked and receive a notification from Royal Mail of delivery, you must request a ‘leave in a safe place’ or desired location for delivery, if you will not be home. If not, the postman cannot leave the delivery without instruction and you will be required to rearrange delivery or pick up from the Abingdon depot instead.
