Parish Council Chairman Re-elected

The chairman of the Parish Council, Gordon Rogers, has been re-elected.  At last week’s annual Parish Council meeting Cllr Rogers was returned unopposed.  But he told the meeting that next year he will have completed five years in the role and will not stand again.

He said that he enjoys leading the council with the help of councillors and support of officers but next year a new person would be needed to lead the community through what he called “challenging times”.

There is a vacancy on the council.  Residents who would like to help to shape the future of the village should contact the parish clerk at longwittpc@hotmail.co.uk for more information.
