Residents will have noticed that the Vanderbilt housing site on the corner of Fieldside and Didcot Road is now ringed by steel fencing.
This has been done in anticipation of archaeological works on the site which are due to commence on 14th October. They are expected to take between eight and twelve weeks. The works are being done as part of the site preparation and have been planned, discussed and agreed with the local authority and Vanderbilt’s own consultants.
The site has been fenced for safety and security and Vanderbilt advise that under no circumstances should residents attempt to enter it. They will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum.
