Village Meeting

The Community Hub, to be built on the site to south of the Vanderbilt development, will include a new school, pre-school and village hall, as well as some houses to cross fund the community buildings.

The Parish Council’s development partner, Thomas Homes, is drawing up new plans for the site with a view to submitting a planning application later in the year.

These plans will be presented to the village at an open meeting in St Mary’s Church on Thursday 3rd February at 7.30pm.

Residents are encouraged to attend to view the new plans and give the Parish Council some feedback.  It is hoped that a recording of the presentation will be available on this website after the meeting.

Why the Church and not village Hall . I would have no objection to meeting in a church but many might also not easy to access at night as no lights on the path up to door?

I am sorry if you are inconvenienced by using the church as a venue for this important meeting. We chose the Church because of health considerations; the Church has far better ventilation than the village hall and therefore we felt it is safer, as COVID numbers are so high. We hope this will encourage more people to attend.

Ann I gave arranged for some lights to be erected along the lane to the church. I hope that will mean you will now be able to attend
