All residents should have received a flyer (see below) for The Wittenhams’ Big Picnic Lunch to be held on Sunday 30th June at Bodkins. It is being jointly coordinated by the WI and Long Wittenham Athletic Club.
It stems from the Big Lunch idea begun by the Eden Project along with the National Lottery. Its aim is to help create stronger communities and increase happiness and wellbeing. Last year over nine million people took part across the UK.
Many village organisations are involved and supporting the event, with the Parish Council sponsoring the brass band.
It is free, so come along, bring your picnic and make this a village event to remember.
