A date has been set for a public inquiry into the Kler Group’s plans for 36 houses on the field at the corner of the Didcot Road and Fieldside.
The inquiry will be heard between the 14th and 17th November at the Didcot Civic Centre in Britwell Road, Didcot. It’s a formal inquiry and barristers will represent both Kler and South Oxfordshire District Council. SODC has misgivings about the plans over a number of technical issues.
Long Wittenham Parish Council is opposed to Kler’s plans but parish funds cannot meet the cost of professional legal representation. The council will however be allowed to speak and cross examine the Kler proposals.
Parish councillor Steve Brown will be putting the case against the appeal on behalf of the village. Over 80 residents objected to the original application and if anyone wishes to address the public inquiry please contact Steve Brown at longwitt@hotmail.com.
