Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) is holding an online consultation to update local people on the latest transport infrastructure plans within Didcot and the surrounding area. The plans include the widening of the A4130, the Science Bridge, the Didcot to Culham River Crossing and the Clifton Hampden Bypass.
Work on these infrastructure improvements follows the successful funding announcement for £218 million from Government in March 2019 known as the Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF). Although the funding for the transport improvements has been announced, OCC is currently in the final stages of negotiating the details of the funding agreement with Government. Since the previous public exhibition events in November 2018, OCC has been working to address previous comments and updating the design work.
The online public consultation will run until Thursday 30th April 2020. More information, including the plans and feedback form, is available at: www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/didcotupdate
As part of this consultation, public exhibitions were planned across various locations in the local area over the last two weeks in March. Unfortunately, due to the advice from Government with respect to Coronavirus these have been cancelled.
Printed copies of the consultation materials can be requested by email at HIF1project@oxfordshire.gov.uk or by telephone on 07392 318945 or 07833 401067.
