Film Club Restarts
Movie fans will be pleased to hear that the Long Wittenham Film Club will restart after its Summer break on Friday 25th October in St Mary’s Church, at 2.30pm for a 3pm start.
This month’s film will be One Life, the true story of Sir Nicholas ‘Nicky’ Winton, a young London broker who, in the months leading up to World War II, rescued 669 predominantly Jewish children from the Nazis. Continue reading

Guy Fawkes Competition 2024
The village Primary School and Pre-School will be hosting a Guy Fawkes competition on the day of the village bonfire.
The competition is open to all and is free to enter. Bring your Guy along to Wards Field by 3pm on 2nd November. The winning Guy will be selected by Jo Allen and will take prime position at the top of the bonfire. Continue reading

Earth Trust has asked the Parish Council to let residents know about its Autumn Fun event for two to six year olds at Abbey Fishponds on Tuesday 29th October between 10am and noon.

Planning Application
The Parish Council has been advised by South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) of a new planning application within the village.
The application, at The Grange, High Street, Long Wittenham, is for the conversion of barn to ancillary residential accommodation.
