Pre-School Disco

The village pre-school will be holding a disco in the village hall on Friday 26th May between 4pm and 5pm.

There will be snacks, party games, face painting, tattoos and party bags.

Road to Clifton Hampden Closure 30th May to 2nd June

The Parish Council has been advised by the Network Management team at Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) that there will be a temporary road closure of the road to Clifton Hampden.

The closure is for new water service connection works to be carried out and will operate from Tuesday 30th May to Friday 2nd June 2023 each night from 8pm to 6am.  See the Traffic Regulation Notice below. Continue reading

Fun Dog Event

Following the success of last year’s extravaganza, The Friends of St Mary’s will be running another Fun Dog Event in the garden of The Plough Inn on Bank Holiday Monday 29th May starting at 2:30pm.

As well as Dog Olympics and a range of other doggy classes, teas, coffee and cakes will be available and The Plough garden bar will be open.  All are welcome, with or without dogs. Continue reading

Little Wittenham Road Closure

Some residents will have noticed “Road Closed Ahead” signs on the entrance to and on the Little Wittenham Road.

We understand that the road may be closed or restricted until 11th May due to a large water leak.

Pendon Museum Pop-up Café

The pop-up café at Pendon Museum will be open again on Wednesday 17th May from 9:30am to 12noon.

This is a free drop-in event, with just a small charge for drinks and cake to cover the costs.

It is hoped that the café will become a regular event for the local community, so please go along and support it if you can. Continue reading

Abingdon Road Closure 24th to 26th May

The Parish Council has been advised by the Network Management team at Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) that there will be a temporary road closure of the A415 Abingdon Road at Culham.

Community Hub Planning Application

The planning application for the Community Hub has been submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) and the details are now on the SODC website for public consultation.
