The Parish Council has arranged for some spring bulbs to be planted in the small section of grass verge outside the Village Hall. The council would be very grateful if residents would try to avoid walking on the bulbs which are just beginning to come through.

A new private transport service has arrived in Long Wittenham and district. Called Driving Miss Daisy, it says it provides a much needed and valued local service which bridges the gap in the market between taxis, public transport and voluntary agencies.

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) is looking for volunteers to join a panel to help set district councillors’ allowances. They are asking people to give up a few hours to help make sure councillors get recompensed for their time and also give value for money.

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has arranged for Christmas Trees to be collected from Bodkins Recreation Ground car park on Thursday 16th January. Leave trees there by Wednesday 15th January.
Residents with brown recycling bins can leave their tree next to their brown bin for collection on 16th January. Please don’t put it in the bin as it’s often difficult for the crews to get out.
