Quarry Decision Delayed Again

There’s been yet another delay to the long awaited decision on the application for the proposed quarry near Clifton Hampden.

Oxfordshire County Council’s planning committee was due to have considered the application by Hills Quarry Products on 3rd June but this has been postponed because of significant issues identified in the latest proposals from Hills.

Children Urged to Use Acklings

Parents are being urged to encourage their children to use Acklings Playground for ball games.

The plea is from residents living in Saxons Heath who are concerned about children playing in the road, causing a nuisance and putting themselves and the drivers of cars and vans at risk of injury.

Extra Garden Waste Collection

A reminder that residents who are signed up for brown bin collections can put out twice as much garden waste this week.

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) is giving those who are part of the paid-for service the opportunity to put out the equivalent of one extra bin’s worth of garden waste (around three large bin bags).

Fun Run – Call for Volunteers

The Village Fun Run will take place on 2nd June and it’s time to fill in the spaces on the organisers’ volunteers list.  Some residents will have helped in the past and it is hoped you will want to help again.  If you are not taking part in the run/walk but would like to be a part of this great village tradition, please get in touch now!
