This year’s Spring Litter Pick will be earlier than in previous years, on Saturday 8th March between 10am and noon.
Come along to the Village Hall where you will be provided with Hi-Viz jackets, gloves, rubbish bags and a litter picking tool.

The pop-up café at Pendon Museum will be open again on Wednesday 8th January from 10am to 12:30pm.
This is a free drop-in event, with just a small charge for drinks and cake to cover the costs. All donations from the cakes go to support a local group, so please go along and support it if you can. Continue reading
As in previous years, South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has arranged for Christmas trees to be collected from the grass verge next to the entrance to Bodkin’s Recreation Ground.
Leave trees there by Friday 17th January – they will be collected on Saturday 18th January.

Tub2Pub is Greene King’s plastics recycling campaign to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The aim is to collect clean, empty, plastic cracker, chocolate and biscuit containers (tubs) so they can then be sold onto companies who shred them and use them to make things like play equipment rather than buying new Continue reading

Brown bin collections (garden waste) are suspended while crews concentrate on collecting the extra waste from Christmas.

The Parish Council is aware there are now several defibrillator machines installed in the village, but the previous training session was about ten years ago.
This two hour course will explain how to use a defibrillator and also provide advice on emergency first aid until a professional arrives.

Residents will be interested to know that, according to the BBC, the HIF1 (Housing Infrastructure Fund) project has been given the go-ahead by the Government.
