Extra Garden Waste Collection

Residents who have purchased a permit for the district council’s brown bin garden waste collection service in South Oxfordshire can have extra garden waste collected for free on their normal scheduled collection day 31st October.

Permit holders can put out a maximum of up to four additional sacks of garden waste, per brown bin subscription, next to their brown bin. Continue reading

Parish Councillor Resignation

Parish Councillor David Corney has decided to step down from the council.

Cllr Corney joined the council in July 2022 having previously been the village’s footpath warden.  He set up the current Community Speedwatch team in January 2023 and it has been very effective in monitoring speeding in the village and warning rogue drivers. Continue reading

Litter Picked!

Thanks to everyone, including the youngsters, who turned out for the Village Litter Pick yesterday (Saturday 18th October) morning to help keep our village looking tidy.

Lots of rubbish was collected from all parts of the village (see below) and afterwards, the zealous pickers enjoyed delicious lemon drizzle cake with tea and coffee in the Village Hall. Continue reading
