Late Night Recycling
Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) has announced that its household waste and recycling centres will be open for longer on Thursdays during the Summer.
They will be open on Thursdays until 8pm until 28th September.

District Councillor Community Grants
A new round of funding from the Councillor Community Grant scheme has launched in South Oxfordshire to help local charities and organisations across the district.
As part of the scheme, every district councillor in South Oxfordshire has funding to support local projects that directly benefit local residents. Organisations can now apply for grants from £250 up to a maximum of £5,000. Continue reading
Allotments
There are a number of vacant allotments in the village.
Plots are available off the eastern end of Fieldside and at the western end of High Street opposite Three Poplars Park. Those off the High Street are very overgrown, but the Parish Council would be prepared to have them cleared if anyone is interested.

Resignation of Councillor
Steve Brown, Chairman of the Parish Council (PC) writes …
Cllr Sally Duff has decided to leave the Parish Council after serving the village for seven years since 2016.

Summer Activities
South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has asked the Parish Council to let residents know that it is running lots of free and low cost activities over the Summer for children (and some for adults).

Road Closure – B4016 Ladygrove
It has come to the Parish Council’s attention that the B4016 Ladygrove – known locally as the Straight Mile – will be closed from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th July.
The closure is to facilitate road patching works and will operate for 24 hours a day. Continue reading
Youth Photography Competition
The Dorchester Team churches are running a youth photography competition this Summer.
The competition is open to young people up to and including age 17. To enter, you need to submit a photograph you have taken of one of the Dorchester Team churches, which includes St Mary’s Long Wittenham and St Peter’s Little Wittenham. There are two categories: inside the church Continue reading

The trustees of the village pre-school have asked the Parish Council to advise residents that there is now a GoFundMe page where donations to the school can be made.
