Road to Clifton Hampden Roadworks 23rd January to 3rd February

It has come to the Parish Council’s attention that work to repair the floodwalk on the road out of the village towards Clifton Hampden has been scheduled to take place between 23rd January and 3rd February.

The work has been requested by the Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) Bridges Team.  There will be two-way traffic signals, so delays are possible. Continue reading

Household Support Fund

The Household Support Fund scheme has opened again for people finding it hard to cope with the rising cost of food and energy bills.

Road to Clifton Hampden Closure 24th to 27th January

The Parish Council has been advised by the Network Management team at Oxfordshire County Council that a section of the road between the village and Clifton Hampden, opposite Lower Farm, will be subject to a temporary overnight road closure whilst essential new water connection safely works are carried out.

Super User Appointed

The village has a new Fix My Street Super User.  Andy Mortimer has volunteered to take on the role.

Fix My Street allows residents to report problems on the roads. Anything added to Fix My Street results in a council highways inspector visiting the site and assessing each problem to see if a repair is needed according to set criteria.  If it is, they then place an order for the work to be done. Changes to Car Parking Fees

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has announced that parking fees will increase in South Oxfordshire from 1st April this year.

Residents using car parks, run by SODC, in Didcot, Goring, Henley, Thame and Wallingford will see between 20p and 60p added to charges depending on how long they park.
