The Parish Council has been advised by the Network Management team at Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) of a temporary emergency closure of Sires Hill whilst leak repair works are carried out.

Parents and guardians can now apply for their year six child to attend a secondary school for September 2023.
Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) is encouraging parents and guardians to list four preferences on their application. This does not make it less likely that their first preference will be offered, but it does reduce the risk of all preferences being unsuccessful and children being allocated a place at a school that is not named on their list. Eighty-four competitors, including twenty-five children, took part in the twelfth annual Long Wittenham Fun Run on Sunday (18th), raising money for a variety of village causes.
