Every year, Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust (OHCT) organises Ride and Stride to raise money to support the many beautiful and historic churches in the county.
Cyclists, walkers, horse riders are sponsored for each church they visit during the day.
Both St Mary’s in Long Wittenham and St Peter’s in Little Wittenham have benefitted from grants from OHCT in the past.
We provide a welcome, drinks, biscuits and now, toilet facilities (at St Mary’s). Would you be able to help provide that welcome this year, especially at St Peter’s, maybe for an hour or two? It is always fun to talk to the visitors on their journey round the local churches; some manage to fit in a remarkable number. Or maybe you fancy making the journey yourself?
