Rogation Sunday – 6th May

Rogation (from the Latin ‘rogare’ ‘to ask’) Sunday is the traditional day for agricultural communities to ask God to bless crops that are being sown and to bless us with a good harvest later in the year.

You are all invited to join the congregation at St Mary’s Church on Sunday 6th May at 9:15am for a simple breakfast and then at 9:30am visiting representative parts of the village – a workshop, a garden, the community orchard, a meadow and finally the school – with readings, prayers and hymns.

Please come along and make this a community event.
