Are you interested in supporting your local primary school? Long Wittenham School is looking for three new governors.
Governors are responsible for school planning and finance; they help to appoint staff and to build good relations between the school, parents and the local community. Community Governors bring a broad range of skills to the governing body and each individual brings their own area of interest to the role. Foundation Governors have a special role in, and responsibility for, ensuring that the Christian character of the school is secured, preserved and developed.
A fact-sheet about becoming a governor is available here. Following an initial enquiry, a nomination form would need to be completed saying a few words about why you would like to be a governor.
If you would like to know more about becoming a governor please contact Lynn Parker at LynnParker@live.co.uk or 07799 882062, or get in touch with the school directly on 01865 407850.
