South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) declared a climate emergency on 11th April 2019, which recognised the need for it to lead the way in reducing carbon emissions to help the county to limit the negative impacts on climate breakdown.
To help support and address this important issue, a Climate Emergency Advisory Committee (CEAC) was established to recommend mitigating actions and to advise the council Cabinet on matters relating to climate change. CEAC meetings are open to the public and South Oxfordshire residents are welcome to attend.
The next committee meeting will take place on 28th January at 4:30pm in Meeting Room 1, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB. To register to speak at the meeting, please contact our Democratic Services team on 01235 422520 or email democratic.services@southandvale.gov.uk.
