Catherine Harrison has been working away to bring this to fruition, and now your help is needed!
What is a pump track?
It is a series of gravel bumps and banked turns and will provide a fun outside environment for kids of all ages to enjoy – whether they are keen to try out tricks on their BMX, clear some air on their mountain bike, gain some confidence on their balance bike or just enjoy running up and down it in their wellies!
Why do we need one?
The kids in the village have been asking for help to build this for years. Several of them currently travel to Didcot, Wallingford and Benson to enjoy similar tracks and have even resorted to digging them for themselves wherever they get the chance! This will provide a safe track for them to use, in the heart of the village, and give them somewhere they can have fun, in the fresh air with friends.
How can you help?
The organisers have the site; they have the support of the Parish Council; they have the manpower; and they have the soil and gravel (thanks to Vanderbilt Homes). But they still need to raise the money to allow them to buy the surfacing for the track and hire the equipment needed to build it.
Wittenham Warriors have donated £450 and the Parish Council are contributing £1,000, but a further £600 is needed!
You can provide a donation via the Just Giving page:

Could you put the link to the Just Giving page on your social media and encourage others to donate too?
Could you persuade your employer or other local contacts to consider sponsoring the build with a donation?
If you have other fundraising ideas that you would be willing to organise, no matter how big or small, or if you fancy coming along and getting stuck in with the digging, email Catherine Harrison at crmharrison@me.com.
