Your Help Is Needed

It has been quite a while since the last village meeting about The Community Hub.

At the time the parish council was concentrating on the Kler planning appeal.  Kler have now been given outline consent for their site on the corner of Didcot Road and Fieldside.  More information on this decision can be viewed here:

Meanwhile, the council have been working with our developer, Thomas Homes, on designs for The Community Hub on Didcot Road opposite Saxon’s Heath.  Recently, a meeting was held with planing officers to get informal advice on the draft plans.

Your help is now needed to work on more detailed plans ready for the next public exhibition and for the planing application which we hope will be submitted in early Summer.

The Community Hub will include a new school and pre-school, a new village hall and plenty of outside space for car parking, a village square and play space.  Thomas Homes’ architects have produced some early ideas but more volunteers are needed from around the village to help to decide on exactly what is needed.

If you would like to know more or to join the working group in order to help with the designs then please contact either Steve Brown (407589) or Peter Rose (407603) or though the website:
