The Oxford Diocese and Oxfordshire County Council have agreed to pay their costs towards the new school – for example for internal furnishing, removal expenses and legal costs. This has allowed the developer Thomas Homes to proceed with viability assessments for the whole project. Thomas Homes expects to be able to make a full planning application before Christmas.
All other costs associated with the design and construction of the new school and internal fixtures and fittings will be met by the developer.
Parish Councillors Steve Brown and Peter Rose recently met with a local resident who runs a café to get advice about size, layout and different models for running a café as part of the Hub. The resident was very encouraging about the hub plans and the potential to subsequently add a shop.
