Grants Available for Village Groups

The Parish Council has a pot of money to be shared out amongst groups for making improvements to the service and facilities they provide for the community.

During the last twelve months the council has supported Home Start Southern Oxfordshire, South & Vale Citizens Advice, the church bells restoration appeal, and made a £200 contribution towards a new ‘mud kitchen’ for the primary school.

Other groups to have benefitted from council money in the last few years include the village Brownies, the Athletic Club for pavilion improvements, the Air Ambulance service, and the annual bonfire and fireworks display.  The council also contributed to the new playground equipment at Bodkin’s Field.

The council believes that local organisations form the life blood of the community and deserve financial support to help sustain them, particularly during this difficult time of the virus emergency.

Village groups who are interested in applying for financial support can download the Grants Policy & Application Form or contact the Parish Council at longwittpc@hotmail.co.uk.
