School PTA Fundraising

The Primary School Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is looking for your support.  The school is a big part of the community and many residents may have happy memories of their or their children’s time there.

The last few years have been tough for everyone, but children have been particularly hit hard.  They have missed out on school, socialising, and all the experiences they would normally have.  There have been no school trips, sports days have been missed, and the usual Christmas Carol service for children and parents has not been able to go ahead.  It has also been incredibly difficult to do the usual fundraising.  The PTA has also lost some connection with the village due to being unable to hold village events.

So, the PTA is on a mission to improve things for the school and the children, and to start fundraising so that they can hopefully begin to enjoy some of things they have missed.

The PTA will be holding a Bag2School collection on Tuesday 8th March.  It will be collecting GOOD QUALITY (for re-use) mens, ladies and childs clothing, paired shoes, handbags, hats, scarves, belts, lingerie, socks, jewellery and ties.  These need to be placed in a plastic bag and can be brought to school on Monday 7th March or dropped off during the week before (w/c 28th February) to Pip Higginbottom at Fairview, High Street.  See the flyer for more information.

Many residents were part of the school 100 club.  This has been replaced with a similar initiative called “Your School Lottery”.  The more people who are in the lottery, the greater the winnings.  So if you fancy joining in and supporting the PTA at the same time, please follow this link:
