A resident has pointed out that this week is BBC Scam Safe Week which features content across BBC TV, Radio, iPlayer, Sounds and Online.

Village Schools Christmas Fayre

Come one, come all, and start the festive season with Long Wittenham School and Pre-School.  Everyone is invited for lots of fun this Saturday (30th November) from 11am at the Primary School.

The Children’s Choir will be singing at 11am and 1pm, and there will be stories with Father Christmas at 12.30pm.  There are fabulous raffle prizes to be won with the draw at 1.30pm. Continue reading

Storm Bert

Residents will be aware that Storm Bert is forecast to hit the United Kingdom this weekend.  Nationally, the storm will bring very strong winds, heavy rain and, for a time, snow and blizzards.

The Environment Agency has warned that the heavy rain could lead to some localised flooding.  Temperatures are also set to rise.

Village Honours War Dead

More than fifty people assembled at the village war memorial yesterday morning (11th November) for the annual Remembrance Day commemoration.
