The Parish Council has been asked to let residents know that the Oxfordshire Parent Carers Forum (OxPCF) and Oxford Health have launched their CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) survey to understand parent carers, children and young people’s most recent experiences of CAMHS to help inform, shape and further develop services.

Cyclepath Resurfacing Completed

Residents will be pleased to hear that the work to upgrade the section of cyclepath which runs from the west end of the village to Moor Ditch has been completed.

The path is part of National Cycle Route 5 which runs from Reading to Holyhead.  The widening and resurfacing was carried out by Sustrans, the charity that makes it easier for people to walk and cycle, and cost in the region of £200,000.  The path is also a bridleway so a special surface, approved by the British Horse Continue reading

Planning Application

The Parish Council has been advised by South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) of a new planning application within the village.

The application, at Challis Farm, High Street, Long Wittenham, is for the replacement of timber windows and doors with like-for-like replacement frames with slimline double glazed units.

Community Hub Meeting Report

More than sixty people attended last evening’s public meeting at St Mary’s Church to discuss plans for the Community Hub and hear about progress on the Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) of which the Hub forms an integral part.

Didcot Road Works

Residents will have noticed that work has started on the traffic calming build-out on Didcot Road, despite the fact that the public consultation on the feature does not close until 17th February.
