Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme

The Environment Agency is working with a range of local partners including the county and district councils to reduce flood risk in Oxford. This partnership was formed in 2014, after the city had been affected by flooding for many years.  The scheme has been developed using evidence about past floods and modelling and exploring various options to come up with the best solution to reduce the impact of flooding in Oxford.

The Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme Project Team will be visiting locations within the scheme area and in communities downstream of Oxford over the coming months, to explain the scheme and to answer questions.  They will be at Wallingford library on 11th March, Abingdon Community Free Space on 1st April and Sutton Courtenay Village Hall on 11th April.
