20mph Speed Limit

The Parish Council has been advised that, following the recent consultation, Oxfordshire County Council’s proposal to implement a 20mph speed limit throughout the village will be presented at the Cabinet Member for Highway Management decisions meeting on Thursday 18th November 2021 (at 10am).

Primary School Christmas Market

The village primary school will be holding a Christmas Market in the school grounds on Saturday 11th December between 11am and 3pm.

There will be amazing raffle prizes, wonderful food from Too Perfection, Christmas stalls, Christmas games, Mrs Claus, a Helta Skelta from Ynot treat yourself, and hot chocolat and mulled wine.  Lots of Christmassy fun for everyone.

Planning Application

The Parish Council has been advised by South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) of a new planning application within the village.

Primary School Places September 2022

Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) has asked the Parish Council to remind parents with children born between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018, that they need to apply for a primary school place as soon as possible.

Moonrakers at St Mary’s

The popular Celtic music group Moonrakers will be performing at St Mary’s Church on Saturday 20th November starting at 7:30pm.

Little Wittenham Road Closure 29th November

The Parish Council has been advised by the Network Management Team at Oxfordshire County Council of the closure of a section of the Little Wittenham Road whilst new water connection works are carried out.

The closure will operate from Monday 29th November 2021 up to and including Thursday 2nd December 2021.

Capital Grant Funding Available

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has launched a new round of its Capital Grant Scheme, with grants available of up to £75,000 for local voluntary and community organisations and town and parish councils.

This grant can fund up to 50% of the total cost of capital projects like contributing to buying a building, replacing or making improvements to long term assets such as play areas and equipment. Continue reading
