The Parish Council has installed a flagpole next to the War Memorial just in time for, and prompted by, the VE Day 80th Anniversary celebrations.

The new Oxfordshire County Councillor for Long Wittenham is Johnny Hope-Smith who won the Cholsey & The Hagbournes seat for the Liberal Democrat Party on 1st May, taking 45% of the total vote with 1447 votes. The turnout was 36.1%.

Acklings Playground will be closed from Tuesday 6th May for approximately eight weeks for the installation of new play equipment.
