Wittfest 2023

Wittfest 2023 kicks off in two weeks’ time.  The annual Long Wittenham music festival at The Plough Inn will run from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th July.

There will be lots of music from some amazing local bands – please go along to support them.  There will be a raffle, outside bar, barbecue, kids entertainment, stalls and more. Continue reading

Emergency Plan Zone Co-ordinators

Following the website post earlier this month asking for volunteers to be zone co-ordinators for the village Emergency Plan, two people have come forward: one to cover the western end of the High Street (Zone 3) and the other, Wessex Way (Zone 4).

More people are needed to cover the rest of the village, and, ideally, to cover additional parts of Zone 3 (see below). Continue reading

Community Speedwatch Update

Air Quality Action Plan Consultation

Residents are invited to comment on the Draft Air Quality Action Plan 2023-27 for South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse, which outlines the actions the councils will take to improve air quality in the districts.

Neptune Wood Meadow Closure

The Earth Trust has announced that the meadow next to Neptune Wood will be closed from Monday 19th June.

The closure is to stop dog fouling before it is cut for hay and is expected to last for four to six weeks.
