Residents will be pleased to hear that the parish council have been advised that West Waddy and Lagan Homes have withdrawn their planning application to build twenty-nine houses on the field next to Bodkin’s.
The reasons for the withdrawal have not been made public but the fact that Oxfordshire County Council recently objected to the plans must have had a significant influence. OCC’s main objection was that the applicant could not demonstrate a safe route for pedestrians from the development onto the High Street.
Thank you to Wittenham Against Overdevelopment for their work and all residents who took the time to register their objections to the plans.
