Winter Hub

Age UK Oxfordshire has asked the Parish Council to let residents know about its Winter Hub.

Winter can be tough at any age, but it is particularly challenging for older people who face additional health risks, and increased feelings of loneliness and isolation.  In addition, the cost-of-living crisis with rises in food and energy prices, is causing many local older people to worry about staying healthy and keeping their homes warm.

Useful information and resources have been brought together in the form of an online Winter Hub at:

https://www.ageuk.org.uk/oxfordshire/about-us/winter-hub

Not everyone has or wants access to the Internet so physical Winter Wellbeing packs have been created which can be posted out to older people or carers.  The packs contain:

* Introductory letter
* Age UK Oxfordshire’s ‘Little Handbook of our Services’
* Live Well Oxfordshire bookmark
* Winter Wrapped up Guide (from Age UK)
* Oxfordshire Talking Therapies leaflet
*  Cost-of-Living Payment Grid

If you know of someone who could benefit from one of these packs, please email contactus@ageukoxfordshire.org.uk or call 0345 450 1276 with their details.
